    Hello,
I cant get Vorpx to work with VLC or MPC-HC. I’ve tried everything I can think of. I tried one game and it worked straightaway. I’ve tried VLC both x32&x64 and MPC-HC and MPC-BE 32&64bit. I did a fresh install of windows and only installed Vorpx, Oculus software, VLC and Chrome.
It just says Attaching to VLC for a minute and after that it asks me what to do, (exception, close software or do nothing).
I have nothing running in the backround. No antivirus or anything. I’ve tried starting everything in Admin mode and tried the use alternative hooking method. Right Device is selected (Oculus Rift).
    I have Windows 10 x64, Nvidia 1080Ti.
If anyone can help me I’d really appreciate it… Thank you in advance.

Please make sure that you use installed versions of both players, vorpX can’t change the player settings if you portable versions.

If you use portable versions or vorpX’s auto settings fail for some other resons, you might be able to get the profiles working by selecting the right output type manually.

for VLC that would be OpenGL, for MPC-HC ‘Enhanced Video Renderer (custom presenter)’

Every player is installed, no portable versions at all. VLC is using OpenGL (Tried both OpenGL and OpenGL for Windows) and MPC-HC is using Enhanced Video Renderer (custom presenter). Tried restoring pre-VorpX settings too. But the problem remains.

Are you using a gaming laptop by any chance? If so you will have to disable your integrated GPU. Desktop apps like MPC-HC or VLC almost certainly won’t run on the dedicated GPU unless you disable the integrated GPU.

Not all laptops may allow to disable the integrated GPU unfortunately. If you are unsure, check whether you can find such an option in your BIOS or graphics driver control panel.
