VorpX Desktop/Configuration and HP G2 Controller

Hi,

I’m not able to use the G2 Controller with VorpX Desktop. It’s not working at all. I’m not able to do anything. There is no ray visible coming from the Controller.

I’m also not able to do the configuration from the WMR Desktop in the VorpX Configuration Windows. No Control reacts on a click. I have to switch to Steam and use Desktop+ or whatever.

I’m using an headless PC with VR headset only (HDMI dummy Monitor). No Keyboard, Mouse…

VorpX is configured to use OpenXR and WMR Controller.

I switched from Virtual Desktop with the hope VorpX will work better :-(((. (The Virtual Desktop control is very sensitive)

Is there a way to recenter the Desktop especially without an keyboard? Even if I connect a Keyboard to my PC to do the Configuration, this is not the place I’m using the VR headset…

VR controllers don’t act as pointers with the desktop viewer, sorry. You should be able to use the right thombstick to move the pointer however when the controllers are set to mouse/keyboard emulation in the vorpX menu (should be the default). Does that also not work?

Ok, I don’t need a pointing device… That’s fine.

No, I don’t see a pointer. Nothing happens when using the right thumbstick.

When I press the peek/edge button a small window appears. Here I can use the thumbstick to scroll the small window. Unfortunately without a pointer it’s hard to select something.

You should see the normal Windows cursor. If not try to press ALT+C, that inverts the cursor visibility in case it was detected wrong. Shouldn’t really be necessary, but maybe that helps.

Alt-c does not work.

I could see a desktop icon was highlighted. The pointer seems to be invisible.

If you happen to have a multimonitor system, try without the secondary monitor(s). Not really sure what else to suggest, sorry.

Normally vorpX captures the Windows cursor with the desktop viewer and you should see it on the screen.

If you want, please create a trouble shoot data archive in the config app and send that to support at vorpx com. Unlikely that it will contain something that helps to immendiately solve the issue, but maybe it helps me spot something I can use for addressing your problem in a future version.

I can’t see the steam pop up messages (new achievement messages) as well.
