I hadn’t run Vorpx for a bit and when I started it up it looks like Windows 10 is identifying the update process as Trojan when it tries to update itself:

    Detected: Trojan:Win32/Tiggre!plock

    file: C:\Users\***\AppData\Local\Temp\vxs-update-4184ccdf-0.exe

I’m guessing that’s an older vorpx updater (18.3.2.2)? It looks like Windows is killing it immediately — I get the icon in the taskbar for a second and then it disappears.

Luckily I still had the installer link so I updated and everything is working again (yay!). I just thought I would post in case anyone else has a similar issue.

More recent vorpX versions have a new update mechanism that doesn’t use a download helper written to the temp folder, so you won’t encounter an issue like this anymore.
