final question,

should I go into windows task manager background processes and shut down everything above or is it done by going into apps and features menu?

is there a link or thread that I can follow to check, not running any virus scanners, unless windows 10 defender is on, defo not recording or streaming, chat, would steam notifications count?

Also when you say cpu/gpu utilities what generally would that mean, as you can see I am not fully comprehending what I would need to do next??

Vorpx is definitely running, as I have the icon in the task bar.

Do I need to disable watcher prior to gta v starting as I read this can cause issues when social club starts up

One issue I did find was that vorpx was hooking and displays a message to say this will take some time and gives you 3 options to either do nothing, cancel or exclude the program, do you know what I should do in this instance? is this a good sign, still have a blank hmd headset

can I also thank you for your patience and promptness with answering my questions it is greatly appreciated this end

To clarify,
When I use steam vr direct mode on HTC vive.
Vorpx option is steam vr, audio tracking only enabled using GTA v config.exe
Start vorpx, start steam vr
Load GTA v from steam or desktop shortcut. Vorpx will say it is hooking, GTA v goes to load screen options settings etc. Only output monitor choice is 1. No display in HTC give headset other than steam vr home, no game display

I disabled direct mode for testing purposes only.

How do I get it to display on HTC Vive headset instead of just be home screen. ???

Apologies for lack of knowledge. The website makes it sound very easy to do. Don’t understand why I have no hmd
