Good that you posted you user name: there is an issue with non-ASCII characters in user diretory names (in your case the “ø”) that prevents the profile database from working.

A fix will be in the next vorpX version which moves the profile database to a shared directory that is the same on every PC.

Meanwhile you can solve that by using a user name with ASCII characters only and without spaces.

That’s great news ! Any due date for the next update ?

Is it possible to get a refund ? I dont intend to use the software, if 3d does not work.

That’s how Windows works: the installer requires admin rights to write to the program directory and when you grant it these rights, Windows internally runs the installer as your admin user. Files that the installer installs to the user directory now end up in your admin user’s user directory regardless of the user that you are logged in with.

Following the procedure above will circumvent that.

Alternatively you can copy the “C:\Users\[admin user]\AppData\Local\Animation Labs” folder to the accordng directory in your everyday user’s directory or run vorpX as admin.

    I think you misunderstand.

    I have 2 users:

Alexander Jønsby – My everyday user. I installed my pc with this user and it has admin rights. Installed Vorpx with this user.

Test – an extra user i created a couple of weeks ago i have only used once. Also has admin rights.

I checked all my user folders and the only one with the Animation Labs folder, is on my main user: “C:\Users\Alexander Jønsby\AppData\Local\Animation Labs\vorpX” Still, Vorpx dont see any profiles and all games gets detected as “Not supported”. No 3d.

Are you by any chance using an extra admin account on your Windows inatllation? If so, please give your everyday user admin rights during the vorpX install. This will ensure that vital files are installed to your normal user’s user directory instead of of your admin user’s user directory.

I have 2 users but I installed using my everyday user which I installed the machine with and have been using for the better part of 6 months with admin rights. Is there any way for me to “test” these paths to see what goes wrong?

I noticed something else also. I cannot seem to create profiles under “Local Profiles”. When i click “Create now profile based on this one”, the dialogue pops up to name the new profile, but after that, the profile never pops up in the list. Also, the “Add” and “Remove” buttons for the .exe files in the existing profiles are greyed out.
If i “Reset profile to factory defaults” on any local profile, i get an error, saying if it keeps happening, i should reinstall Vorpx.
Having done that 4 times now, i dont think it helps.
Also, even when i run Vorpx Desktop Viewer, i get the “This game is not supported” dialogue box. I think something is wrong with the profiles and Vorpx is not detecting the .exe files. The “This game is not supported” box shows up in everything i run.
I have looked in my documents and settings folder and there is a Vorpx folder with all the settings and profile info, so i have no idea what is going on.

Note: If i look in my Vorpx.ini file, the:

    sOculusProfile=

is empty. I dont know if this could be the problem.

I looked in the vorpx.log after running Borderlands Presequel and Fallout 4 and both says settings not available.
