    Hey Ralf,

Would it be possible to have the profile for Shadow of the Tomb Raider hook in DX12 mode?

The game already has native 3D so I’m wondering if it could be a tweak to Voirtual desktop SBS or something that maybe doesn’t require a lot of work.

SOTTR runs at 60fps locked at 2880×1260 on my 2080Ti… it manages 25-35 FPS in DX11.

There’s no other game which shows such an improvement in DX12 for frame rates and it could improve VorpX performance with this title so much.

IIRC currently vorpX automatically sets up the game to use its native stereo with DX11. Without having tried I’d say that should also work with DX12. Certainly makes sense if it helps performance.

I’ll check that for the next update. If it proves to be better performance wise, I’ll adjust the profile. Thanks for the hint.

    Thanks Ralph!

Your work is really appreciated :-). So nice to get regular updates. I can’t think of any other software so well supported.

I will look forward to the next update!

I tried making this work with DX12 but with no luck.
The profile for RDR2 installs the hook and works with Shadow of the Tomb Raider on DX12 but of course isn’t SBS. Even if the dxgi hook is installed switching back to the SOTR SBS profile won’t hook into DX12.

I don’t think there is any DX12 game with a SBS profile in the official list and it’s probably not possible to create a custom one. It would be nice to have one so it can be used as base for other games (even if native SBS support in games is scarce).

SOTR is probably intentionally nuking DX11 performance for marketing. There should be no reason to get 1.5-2.5x more FPS by switching to DX12, but that’s how this game behaves.

(I’m aware this is an old thread :)
