Just a quick heads up, Arx Fatalis does not seem to be currently working with any 3D otpions.
G3D does not seem to be available, but neither Adaptive nor Z-Normal work. Z-Normal shows a bunch of oscillating horizontal lines.
I got Arx Fatalis from Steam and updated with latest Arx Libertatis. Tried the installing a second time and same thing.
The profile is 2D only on purpose, 3D in Arx Libertatis only worked with the original alternate frame G3D OpenGL implementation in vorpX years ago, couldn’t make it work glitch free with the current proper single frame G3D implementation unfortunately. There are a handful or so profiles in the local profiles list that work in a similar fashion.
If you want to double check whether a game in the local profiles list is actually supposed to have 3D, use the supported games list.
IIRC the DX9 renderer seems to work in Z3D https://www.vorpx.com/forums/topic/auto-update-now-nothing-works/#post-186409 , depending on the version. Ive used the retail game and (an older) liberatis patch IIRC. The steam version is openGL only no matter if you install liberatis or not.
