I was wondering if someone knows a good profile to play Jurassic Park: Evolution 2.
The first game’s profile hooks but of course it doesnt have G3D with the new game (DX12), and Z3D isn’t really powerful. It’s still impressive because of image quality, headtracking, etc. but there is probably a better profile to use.

Edit : it’s Jurassic World Evolution 2 of course ;)

I use the JWE1 Dellrifter22’s profile in curved immersive screen wrapped around me with a 6-8k 4:3 resolution (VorpX V24 Virtual Monitor), ClarityFX and sharpness on Reverb G2.
It hooks with a direct VorpX shortcut and maybe a hook helper.
You should activate headtracking when you are in the jeep in first person view. It’s really nice. It also works with helicopter, etc. You can use full VR instead but immersive screen may be better given the camera is partially locked, and I don’t think you can change the FOV.
I had a doubt at first, but I can confirm Z3D works. You can see it clearly when it rains or when there are bubbles underwater.
Image quality is great (dinosaur skin, etc.)

There still may be a better profile because in some games, Z3D is really powerful now.

I don’t know how you mananged to get the JWE1 profile to hook JWE2. I’ve tried everything I can think of. Even tried other Frontier/Cobra engine game profiles like Planet Coaster/Zoo, Elite Dangerous, etc and while it’s been a while since I was messing with it I’m pretty sure I never got any signs of compatibility. Can you please share more details of the setup (hook helper, alternative hooking, game graphics [resolution, windowed/fullscreen, detail, etc]). Thanks!

And I’d be willing to send a key for this game to whoever necessary to get a profile generated, but maybe there’s a technical reason it hasn’t been done yet (you mentioned dx12, so maybe that’s the issue).

I played with Epic Games version on Reverb G2 (OpenXR).

I played the entire Jurassic World campaign with VorpX, but that was a few months ago. I would have to relaunch it to be sure but it’s what I remember. It’s probably my last VorpX settings, because I couldn’t play with 5120×3840 on my monitor.

So like in most games, my settings were :
    – resolution : 5120×3840 fullscreen
    – max graphics
    – no “motion blur” and no “depht of field” (because I don’t like that)
    – raytracing : on
    – DLSS : off

I used ClarityFX and sharpness filters (probably at max) to enhance image quality, and I probably lowered the gamma in VorpX as I usually do (but not in the game options)

I used headtracking with Immersive Screen (with vertical curvature and relatively low distance). I probably used edgepeek a lot.

From what I can see, I simply added JWE2.exe to Dellrifter22’s profile. I don’t remember if I used a hook helper, etc.

You can also use Reshade (SuperDepth3D) with VorpX Desktop Viewer. I tried it with VorpX on this game, but the image quality and performance were worse (like if ClarityFX wasn’t working) and even 3D was better with VorpX alone in my opinion. VorpX is also easier to launch and it saves settings so you don’t have to reconfigure it every time. In addition, headtracking is great with this game (you can disable it when it’s not useful).

I just noticed I have a direct shortcut to the game on my Desktop.
    Something like that :
    “C:\Program Files (x86)\Animation Labs\vorpX\vorpControl.exe” “C:\Program Files\Epic Games\JWE2\JWE2.exe”

You can create it by right clicking on VorpX tray icon > Create Desktop Shortcut.

So I probably launched VorpX V24, maybe chose the resolution (don’t remember), and then launched this shortcut.
