Yesterday I launched my vorpX application and it began updating, downloading a file. When it finishes downloading, I assume it attempts to update the version and then crashes, entering an infinite loop. I can’t use the application because it keeps getting into this loop. Please, can someone help me? I’m sending a screenshot of the exact moment it crashes, in case that helps. Thanks in advance. Momento of crash Moment of crash

If you happen to use any other antivirus than the built in Windows Defender, try to

    1. Disable it (might be hard for the extra annoying ones)
    2. Exclude the vorpX program folder (usually C:\Program Files (x86)\Animation Labs\vorpX
    3. By far the best option: get rid of it. Windows Defender for all intents and purposes is more than good enough since more than a decade and I usually make sure any new release gets whitelisted by Defender if necessary.

Ralf, thank you very much for your reply.

I’ve tried disabling my antivirus, and the result is the same. But I’ve discovered something: when I disable the internet connection, vorpX starts correctly, and I can use it normally even after connecting to the internet. Obviously, if I quit the application and restart it with an internet connection, it goes into a loop again. But at least I can use version 21.3.5.
Could you tell me if it’s possible to download version 25 (or the latest version) so I can install it directly? Thank you very much.

Just realized that the issue might have been caused by a small change in the installer I made yesterday, will probably work now if you try again.

    If not:

If you didn’t keep your web installer, you can get one from the link below.

If the issue is caused by your antivirus, that might not work either though. If you use something else than Defender, really just get rid of it. There is zero reason to use some extra annoying third party AV since many, many years.

Thanks a lot, Ralf. It’s working for me now. It’s downloaded the update and boots up fine. It’s no longer looping ;-)
