Steam Frame/Stand alone support?

Could Vorpx run on a stand alone headset?
I know the steam frame isn’t out yet but i’m wondering how compatible vorpx could be with it.
I saw a forum post saying vorpx doesn’t have linux version. So i’m guessing it couldn’t be loaded directly onto a headset. Has there been any attempts of this or would it be too demanding on the system to even consider developing
