Hi. I’m having great problems getting games to hook. I’m trying Detroit-Become Human (from Steam) and it only hooks about less than 5% of the time. I’ve tried all the hook helpers and alternative hooking. All these fail but on the very odd occasion it works so I go back and try it again and it fails without me changing anything. I’ve also been having this exact same problem on Stray (from Microsoft store) and Senua’s Sacrifice 1 (PC Game Pass). Robocop (from Steam) seems a little bit more lucky. The only game it seems to work for is Ori and the Wisps (PC Game Pass)(works 90% of the time). I am only using Windows Defender. Do you think AMD Adrenalin and Ryzen Master could be making it hard to hook with Vorpyx? I can’t think anything else. It is a shame because I’m about give up on Vorpyx. Can anyone help? Thank you

So what fixed it for future people with the same issue?

Issues like this almost certainly are caused by something else also hooking into games and thus causing a conflict. You can either try to find the offending app or wait a while until the ‘Attaching to…’ dialog starts to offer some trouble shoot options, among them installing a hook helper into the game folder, which often can deal with the issue without having to find the root cause.

The better way however is of course finding the offending app. More information on the matter in general and what kind of apps to watch out for in regard to potential hooking conflicts in the trouble shooting guide on top of this sub forum.
