World of Warcraft help needed

I’m trying to hook into World of Warcraft but it just doesn’t seem to work.

I’m set to dx11 and also tried windowed setting.

Just doesnt seem to hook into it.

Any tips?

I managed to get in using Hook helper at generic mode.
The d3d 10/11/12 mode just says incorrect video.

Once I am in the game all the characters on the menu looks black.
No texture whatsoever.

But in game i can see everything clearly.

But the game crashed in under a minute.

This happens every single time.

Replicated it maybe 6 times. Crashed to desktop all 6 times.

Core Ultra 265k
RTX 5080
64GB 6000mhz cl30
980 pro nvme

The days of WoW with vorpX may be over, at least as far as the main version is concerned. Just checked it two days ago and apparently they added some new DLL blocking/anticheat system. According to various posts on the WoW forum stuff like Reshade doesn’t work either anymore. A true shame, I just updated vorpX to work with the last iteration of their renderer not too long ago. Maybe things will change again after one of the next WoW updates, but I wouldn’t hold my breath.

WoW Classic still seems to work at this point (or at least it did two days ago) and got a dedicated profile with automated settings optimization in 25.1.1.

I was trying to get WoW Classic working with VORPX. It starts okay but crashes in like 1 minute. Does it mean they did same with classic as they did with retail? Or maybe anybody have it working?

any update on whether or not we can get this working? i used vorpx on retail a long time ago but trying to get it to work for TBC anniversary server but looks like it doesn’t work anymore

I’ve tried everything I could think of to get all versions of WOW to work again with vorpX. Generic hook helper is the only hook helper that will hook, but WOW exit crashes after 1 minute, even without an internet connection at the login screen. Also, if you leave the hook helper installed and close vorpX and run WOW, it still crashes at the 1 minute mark, until generic hook helper is removed. Hoping WOW will work again one day with vorpX because it was so awesome!

I have came to the same conclusion as you, also tried the generic. Client crashes but was the closest I got to hooking and loading.
