Sorry to dig up this thread again.
I got the same issue now, that when opening my Pipboy everything is greyed out. I can hear the cursor movement and can blindly click but the complete pipboy menu is gone.

It must have to do something with the VorpX Weapon/Pipboy setting. When i enter VorpX setting and play a bit around, i suddenly see the pipboy content, but far to close in front of the eye and seperated from the grey Pipboy screen further back.
