ParticipantCame here to report the same issue, after reading Ralf’s last post I disabled BakkesMod which also hooks into Rocket League. That fixed my issue. It’s a shame because BM is really helpful for training, and it worked last night, but RL and vorpx both updated since I played last night, so not sure which change caused the incompatibility.

ParticipantYep, Bioshock 2 profile works for Rocket League, but I seem to have lost the Geometry 3d strength slider. I can play though, so woooo. Thanks.

ParticipantOh shit ChuckHead, you got head tracking working? Please share the details on how. I’m with you on the addiction. I have over 700 hours in rocket league…

ParticipantThanks for the quick reply Ralf. I had originally tried importing the old profile, and when that didn’t work I cloned the Unreal Engine 3 profile (which is what I did when i originally created the profile.) Still no luck. I even tried the Create Desktop Shortcut method in vorpx and still nothing. SteamVR does start when I start the game, but the game just opens on the desktop like normal and the view inside the headset is just the normal SteamVR idle area.
I did export troubleshooting data, and the only error I’m seeing in the rocket league sections is:
ERR: D3D9Helper: Effect creation failed: shaders/d3d11_direct.cfxIt’s not the end of the world, but I play so much better with the 3d geometry provided by Vorpx, and the game is so much more intense, so I hope this can be resolved.
An official profile would be awesome. I tried rigging the camera control to th headset rotation but it turned out awful. It definitely needs a direct camera hook somehow.
I know it’s the holiday season, so no huge rush, I’ll see if there’s any progress next year :P

ParticipantA Lot of cool features here, but is there any way to rollback to a previous version for testing? I’m having some trouble after the update. Not sure if I should post here or in the troubleshooting section.
I pretty much use vorpx for one game (Rocket League in virtual cinema) and it no longer works after this update. Pretty sure it’s due to the vorpx update since the last patch for Rocket League was on 12/20 and I’ve played it with vorpx since then. I have an HTC Vive.
I did try Witcher 3 since I saw it already had a profile, and it did open in virtual cinema mode, so it at least appears to be isolated to Rocket League for now.
Also, couple issues that keep popping up every update which aren’t huge, but kind of annoying:
– My excluded programs list gets reset to default every update, I have to add all my exclusions back every time.
– My custom profiles (Rocket league) keep getting deleted after updates and I have to re-create them.
– The updates create desktop shortcuts every time even if they already exist. I had 3 copies of each of the shortcuts due to the last 2 updates for a total of 9 vorpx related desktop shortcuts. -
