I understand that and I’m just reporting what seems to happen with this particular game for me. The difference in the image quality between these two methods when setting what should be the same resolution principle is striking.

Right, I found the DirectVR option in the VorpX menu and can set a quality there but whatever I set it to just doesn’t seem to make a difference at all with what I see in the headset for FS17. The game window size definitely does change though. I don’t know if that should be possible but that just seems to be what I’m experiencing. I can see a big difference in resolution if I do it the other way I mentioned (fullscreen, manual)
