ilovevorpxParticipantWhen playing Fallout 4, if I pull up the “pipboy” menu it’s grayed out completely and you can’t see anything. You can hear the tabs moving when you press buttons, but you can’t see anything. I went through the forums and didn’t see anything similar to this. I tried the edgepeek too and it still shows gray. Without being able to use the pipboy I won’t be able to play the game in Vorpx which is a shame because it plays perfect otherwise. Any help or tips anyone might be able to give me would be great if you have the time to spare.

RalfKeymasterThat should definitely not be the case. I’ll check tomorrow whether maybe a recent game update has broken some shader definitions and let you know. That can happen potentially when shaders are changed in a new game version.
What you could check right now if you have mods installed is whether the issue also occurs without mods. A mod causing the issue is another possibilty.

ilovevorpxParticipantThank you so much for the quick response. Actually I believe it probably is an issue on my end with one of the mods I have installed. I’ll be going through each one to see which one is causing the problem. Thanks again!

adtbmParticipantSorry to dig up this thread again.
I got the same issue now, that when opening my Pipboy everything is greyed out. I can hear the cursor movement and can blindly click but the complete pipboy menu is gone.It must have to do something with the VorpX Weapon/Pipboy setting. When i enter VorpX setting and play a bit around, i suddenly see the pipboy content, but far to close in front of the eye and seperated from the grey Pipboy screen further back.

Benedict81ParticipantThe weapon auto hide option in Vorpx menus, turn it off, hid the pip boy completely for me.
Also, I don’t know how well known this is, but you can actually change the weaponmodel FOV in FO4 (I thought there is no way to change this). Open up the console while in-game (§ key, or ä or ö in scandinavian keyboards) type fov xxx xxx (where xxx is a FOV number, I use the same here as is my worldFOV, so for example fov 130 130 and enter), the FOV of the weaponmodel should change, then type refreshini and enter and voila.

RalfKeymasterThere should be no need to tinker with anything FOV related. FOV, including weapon FOV is handled perfectly by DirectVR. Just run the menory scan.
