BadServoParticipantI get this same issue in Bioshock Infinite but nothing else. Recalibrating and fiddling with sensitivity has so far yielded no results.

yarvoParticipantthe 30 second crash is the same as that crash. If i dont push buttons to jump through the intros it crashes on AMD logo … if i push buttons and skip intros I can play for about 2 seconds before it crashes… it’s the same glitch… we should just call it the 30 second glitch in terms of trying to solve it.
anyone know if the vorpx update addresses it?

oogulusParticipantokay, we need to get this figured out. This game is too damn good!
So the whole “shutdown after logo screen error” is the same thing as the 30 sec timer error. Mine was the former, I then messed with something (I dont know what) which allowed me to click through the logo intros, and alas, I got kicked out (with no error message) to the desktop. We need geniuses on this stat.

jasonatokcParticipantwell after much work I got it to load up and play for about 20 seconds then crash . Windows 8.1 64bit 7970

Jimbob1971ParticipantFYI I disabled head tracking and 3d within VorpX menu, but still crashing. Cheers.

VangParticipantAdd my machine to the list of crashes with Bioshock Infinite at some random point in the startup menus before I actually get into the game world.
Latest nVidia 327.23 drivers
Twin Frozr MSI GTX 770 OC
i5 3570K @ 3.4GHz
8GB DDR3 RAM
Windows 7 Pro 64-bitI do have MSI Afterburner and MSI Gaming App installed, but it doesn’t matter if I run those utilities (in any mode) or not run the utilities at all, B.I. crashes. I have not tried completely uninstalling the MSI utilities though. My reasoning is those utilities are installed and I can run Skyrim and Borderlands 2 just fine (all I’ve had time to test so far), so it’s unlikely to be the MSI utilities causing the crash. But of course, with troubleshooting, until you actually nail it down to a real cause, everything stays on the table as a suspect :-)

BadServoParticipantI purchased my copy of BI directly through Steam, so I doubt the installation method is a factor.

LazloTheGreatParticipantWorks fine on one my machines (older, running Windows 7), but I get the 30 sec crash on the other (newer, running Windows 8).
Perhaps it’s worth noting that even though BI starts through Steam on both machines, it does work fine on the one through which I initially installed from the DVD-ROMs (Windows 7), but does NOT work on the 2nd machine (Windows 8) through which I merely duplicate installed directly from my Steam online account without the DVD-ROMS.
This second to-be-installed-on Windows 8 machine was actually the first one I tried with vorpX as it was the newer faster one. As luck would have it, my DVD-ROMS have been damaged so unfortunately I can’t try re-installing from them on the Windows 8 non-working machine to see if it makes a difference.

DrBeefParticipantI had Asus GPU Tweak installed, I exited that, but still get the crash. MY card is overclocked by default, so I don’t know if that might have something to do with it or not?!
Pretty much clean out of ideas at this point.
Oct 8, 2013 at 6:37pm #11068In reply to: Bioshock Infinite
RalfKeymasterAnother thing to try: Some graphics cards come with monitoring/overclocking utilities (MSI Afterburner for example). Could anyone with the crash and one of these tools please check whether disabling (ideally uninstalling) it does make any difference? It’s just a guess, but sounds worth a try. Thanks in advance.
VSync shouldn’t make a difference. Already tried Vsync on and off, guessing that maybe very high framerates might trigger the problem. Apparently that is not the case.
Oct 8, 2013 at 2:35pm #11058In reply to: Bioshock Infinite
DrBeefParticipantI’ve not tried turning vsync off yet, will try that later (when I get home), though I don’t have much hope it will make a difference.
