I am a psvr user here also. Kinda new but was surpised at how well gta runs. Few issues i have tho are mapping the controls on the move controllers. I keep accidentally clicked off gta with the move mouse somehow.

Also I like playing Rocket league in 3d but for some reason mine goes off after around 30 mins i’m thinking its a trinius psvr issue But i am still not sure what it is exactly could be a fault of vorpx or something.

My question to you is do you on async? i have it on but in the steamvr settings it says its off for some reason.

I have set the psvr to display 120fps via custom res and my gta5 runs at 45 fps while i have Rl at 90 fps with fluid sync off. I really have no idea what settings are best…not many options for the psvr

Along with the guy in previous page my most played game is Rocket league too and the recent update seems to be giving me the base settings error. Hope you can fix this

PHEW I thought I was the only one with this problem. I uninstalled steam and all my games along with uninstalling vorpx and I still got this same message. Glad to see its being looked at

My error appears while trying to launch Rocket League have no Idea why it was working fine just 2 days ago. Hope you can fix this though

Same error for Rocket League. I’ve gotten it to launch a few times, but between all my sporadic clicking and toggling and rebooting and etc, I’ve yet to find an reproducible way to get vorpx to hook without that error.

Anyone having trouble getting some games to work with 3d reconstruction? I was sitting down to play some rocket league, but when I was setting it back up after the update, I’ve found the Gemoetry reconstruction won’t budge from ‘off’. I know it was working yesterday…

Ideas? Is there a way to roll back to the previous version?

Just wanted to let you know the update broke rocket league with this profile https://www.reddit.com/r/oculus/comments/51hj9x/rocket_league_vorpx_instructions_with_great_3d/

It is my most played game by far with vorpx. Would be nice to get a native vorpx Geometry 3D and virtual cinema profile just like that old profile had, but not sure if we can get it working again! Thanks

After doing many research at getting this to work I failed and I understood that ESO is no longer supporting DX9 and now is only DX11. That stupid ESO update broke the geometry 3d unfortunately. I know some game like battlefield use dx11 and have a working G3D. By creating a profile base on battlefield, I could use geometry 3d, but the right eye was a black screen except for the HUD so no chance.. I know the ESO DX11 update released 6 month ago. Will this get fixed some day or is it impossible ? I got VorpX specially for this and rocket league :(

Someone here mentioned rocket league. I follow some guys instructions on reddit a while ago and it’s been great so far. I just took a look again though and notice it seems to be running at 45 fps no matter the resolution I set it too. Tried to disable ASW didn’t help. Runs better if I set SteamVR mode in vorpx, so weird.

I think it might have to do with the fact that I cannot disable the “mirror to window” anymore. It seems to make the title choppy.

I’ve noticed the same thing with few games (VIVE). Bioshock: Infinite, everything works great but i am not sure if i can get 90 FPS anymore, and my guess is that often i am playing with 45 no matter what i set in the options. I can’t really tell because it’s nice and smooth anyway but i remember the difference was obvious when doing a comparison. I also notice a drop in performances with Dishonored, which i also thoght was related to the forced mirrored image.

Yep, Bioshock 2 profile works for Rocket League, but I seem to have lost the Geometry 3d strength slider. I can play though, so woooo. Thanks.

    @ steph12 : Thanks!

@ ghost_master2k, ChuckHead : I don’t have Rocket League installed, so I can’t test, but I may have a quick fix. Judging from ghost_master2k’s log entry the beahviour may be caused by a change in vorpX’s handling of .exe’s that initialize multiple rendering API’s at the same time.

Please try another UE3 engine game from the list as a base profile for your custom profile (e.g. Bioshock 2 for DX9 or Bioshock Infinite for DX11 depending on what you need).

You can also try to reinstall vorpX with your web installer and then make a new custom profile with the generic UE3 profile. I uploaded a quick update that restores the old (and normally worse) multi-API-behavior for the generic Unreal engine profile, which *might* (emphasis on might) fix the issue.

If it does, it would be nice if one of you could upload the new Rocket League custom profile to the cloud.

Oh shit ChuckHead, you got head tracking working? Please share the details on how. I’m with you on the addiction. I have over 700 hours in rocket league…

Thanks for the quick reply Ralf. I had originally tried importing the old profile, and when that didn’t work I cloned the Unreal Engine 3 profile (which is what I did when i originally created the profile.) Still no luck. I even tried the Create Desktop Shortcut method in vorpx and still nothing. SteamVR does start when I start the game, but the game just opens on the desktop like normal and the view inside the headset is just the normal SteamVR idle area.

I did export troubleshooting data, and the only error I’m seeing in the rocket league sections is:
ERR: D3D9Helper: Effect creation failed: shaders/d3d11_direct.cfx

It’s not the end of the world, but I play so much better with the 3d geometry provided by Vorpx, and the game is so much more intense, so I hope this can be resolved.

An official profile would be awesome. I tried rigging the camera control to th headset rotation but it turned out awful. It definitely needs a direct camera hook somehow.

I know it’s the holiday season, so no huge rush, I’ll see if there’s any progress next year :P

I’m with ya on the Rocket League thing. About 98% of my time in VorpX is spent on RL (with head tracking and 3D, try it!), but post update the game will no longer hook. Tried recreating a local profile as I’ve done in the past (new profile based on Dirt 3 with the RL exe) but no dice. Sorry if this is the wrong thread for such things, but a way to rollback would be nice if possible.

In the meanwhile, I’m going to keep clicking things until I can get it to work. Pretty hard core addiction I’ve been nurturing for this game.
