3D Render not available

I have used vorpx for almost 3 years. Past year havent touched it.

Reinstalled yesterday and attempted to play some games.
I could get it to hook (outer worlds 2 in this case) but when i pull up the menu it says
“3D Reconstruction [Off]” with arrows next to it. This is what enables geometry/z 3d etc…

In the past ive had no problems turning on immersive mode, full VR mode etc… I can still select these, but none of them turn 3D render/3d reconstruction on. it remains off.

Any insight? Ive tried fullscreen mode for the game, and 2 different titles. They both load into vorpx and go into immersive “theater” mode, but no 3D.

Help please?

I should clarify-

Games hook
I can open the vorpx menu
Clicking the arrow for 3d reconstruction does nothing
Other options work in the menu

Attempted games where the menu appeared

Outer Worlds 2
Psychonauts 2
Katamari Reroll

Native VR games work as intended

vorpX can’t inject 3D into any random program without knowing how. None of these games is supported officially, but you can check on the cloud profiles page of the config app whether there maybe is a user profile for them.

You can also create user profiles yourself by making copies of profiles from games that use the same graphics engine. No guarantee that this will work since game engines change, but it’s always worth a shot.

I appreciate the reply.

I understand how the engines and rendering of games works on a basic level, and you are correct- Even though those games load with Vorpx, they arent supported and thus no 3D works. I thought perhaps Z 3D would, but no.
I have had so much success just trying weird profiles with games, thought something would stick.

Tried Portal and it worked as it should. If I have any further issues ill follow-up.
