A little help with 3d playback settings for a noob

Just brought the program today and am trying out the cinema mode through vlc and all is well except I can’t for the life of me figure out how to merge the twin images for SBS or over under 3d movies.
I just get twin images which don’t interweave.
Now I’ve explored through the image settings and there doesn’t appear to be an option for 3d.
The ‘content’ option only scrolls between ‘normal’ or ‘circular’. Should I be using vlc settings? What am I missing?

for me vorpx is all about playing video games, to watch 3D movies i use virtual desktop, you can even find free software on steam tailored for 3D/VR movies…

so, i cant help with your problem, but i’m sure someone will be able to.

The “Stereo Type” option switches between mono/stereo mode. You find it either directly above or below the “Content Type” option that you tried before.

“Content Type” is for switching between regular movies and (spherical) VR-videos.
“Stereo Type” is for switching between mono and 3d movies.
