I Recently had to reinstall Windows and had just gotten Crysis Remastered running, but can no longer get vorpx to hook to it. It will just show “CrysisRemastered” in the HMD, and then drop it and go back to home. I feel like I’ve tried most of the typical troubleshooting for vorpx (resets/alt hook/admin/other profiles) but feel like I’m missing something necessary after reinstalling Windows considering I had it working prior and can currently hook to Crysis 3 no problem.

Crysis Remastered is not supported, that’s probably the issue here. Try the good old regular Crysis.

The thing is I had it working fine before my mishap resulting in reinstall, either using a copied profile of the 1st Crysis provided by vorpx or from the Prey profile because I had seen that mentioned. I can’t recall which, but I’m pretty sure it was one of that had finally landed. Guess I got lucky for day.

I see. Then it might be a conflict with some other program that also hooks into games.

If you haven’t done so already, please first try the trouble shooting options that pop up in vorpX’s ‘Attaching To…’ dialog after a minute. Install a hook helper or switching to alternative hooking can often help to resolve hooking issues without having to get to the bottom of the matter.

If that doesn’t help or you don’t see the dialog at all, you have to dig deeper. The pinned trouble shooting post on top of this sub-forum has more details on the matter.

Issue resolved! Seems for whatever reason the game chose borderless window, fullscreen did the trick.
