Why is the “vorpX VR Driver Control (32 bit)” vorpControl.exe process continually using about 3% CPU (using Ryzen 5950X) at all times while sitting idle in the background?

It is constantly the top of the Task Manager list and listed as “High” to “Very High” Power usage.

And the vorpConmtrol64.dat is using another about 1.4% continually.

    That’s over 4% continuous.

    This is not right.

EVERY OTHER PROCESS IN TASK MANAGER IS IDLING AT 0% TO MAXIMUM 0.8% IN BACKGROUND

Reason I noticed this is because I notice my system fans running louder than I normally hear then since I installed this vorpX yesterday.

    What is it doing?

Only way to stop it is to shut down the vorpX from the Windows bottom right menu.

While not hooked into a game it’s constantly checking for newly started programs. You can either exit vorpX or pause it while you don’t intend to use it if 4% CPU usage are intolerable for you.

OK, didn’t see the Pause Watcher option. I guess that is why it was added then. Well 4% of fastest CPU is still a lot. And as I said it causes extra noise as fans increase in water cooling.
