Can you back up vorpx profiles so you can manually import them back even when they are deleted from the local profile listings? If yes is it the function “export your profile settings to file” followed by “import settings profile”

Need to do physical backups otherwise one day other publishers wake up in a bad mood and without warning suddenly the Vorpx profiles are gone after a routine update

You can simply drag and drop individual profiles from the list to your desktop and back. BUT: for official profiles that only saves a (user settings) part of the profile (.vps), not the full profile (.vpp). While that is a highly useful feature in general since it allows to update the underlying profile independently from user settings, it gets in the way in this particular case unfortunately.

You can however make a backup of the whole database: C:\ProgramData\Animation Labs\vorpX\Profiles.vpd. Just be aware that overwriting the database with an older version (obviously) deletes any profile changes/updates since then. So always make sure that you can switch back to the newer one later when you replace the database with an older version.
