Looks like not correct? I would like to be able to edit a profile since menu is locked in a game trying to setup.

No.
You can check it easily with an export button – export any profile to a file and try to open it with a text editor, you will get a mess.
All you can try is put executable of another game for a profile you are editing, open menu there, edit, save and then put game where settings arent working back in.
