Chrono Trigger PC/Steam (Help to get working!)

I’m trying to get Chrono Trigger (PC/Steam Version) to work in 3D with VorpX. Can anyone help me?

Chrono Trigger is a 2D game.

But that doesn’t mean vorpx can’t make it “pop” so to speak. As there are 3D effects in many of the magic spells. Is it possible to get it to work?

No, there is nothing 3D in Chrono Trigger, it’s all made of 2D sprites in a 2D environment.
At most you can play it on a virtual giant screen with vorpX.

You’ve gotten the answer already, it’s all 2D sprites in a flat plane. There’s no depth info like in Ori. You can’t get Chrono Trigger to “pop”.
