Config not working

So, I’m stuck with a non working config.

Out of the blue.

was working two days ago and has been giving me the finger since yesterday.

Apparently it is stuff related to d3d9.dll or d3d9.pdb… Any ideas?

Sooooo,

After doing all the magic tricks:

– deleting the oculus folder in %appdata%
– uninstalling / reinstalling Vorpx (including deleting the registry stuff)
– disabling and re-enabling .net Framework 3.5
– reinstalling the June2010 directX repository

Nothing worked.

So I went into %localappdata%\Animation Labs\vorpX

and edited vorpControl.ini

under
[General]
and changed
bRunAsAdmin=false
into
bRunAsAdmin=True

and voila’ it works.

Now even if I change it back to
bRunAsAdmin=false

it works. So I’m not sure which voodoo trick worked… But I can open up the control app again.

So I have narrowed it down to MSI Afterburner / Rivatuner Statistics Server. That program causes VorpConfig to crash on start. Vorpx would still work anyway. [SOLVED] !!
