Sounds a lot like some antivirus program running amok. Try to exclude the vorpX program folder (usually C.\Program Files (x86)\Animation Labs\vorpX).

If you happen to use anything else than Windows Defender, consider getting rid of it. Windows Defender automatically kicks in instead. There is no need for invasive third party AV on Windows 10. Windows Defender is a reliable and good AV solution for several years now.

Hi Half, thank very much for the help.I uninstalled the anti virus program with no effect at all.I noticed that when I go to “game/app profiles” and try to add any game .exe, the “Add” stays gray and I cannot add any game. After some seconds Vopx closes. Also there is no .exe when I select Unity 5 base profile in the .exe box.

To create a custom profile from the Unity 5 base profile you have to make a copy of it and then assign the .exe of your game to the copy.

The vorpX help has a user profiles section that explains how to create custom profiles.

I cannot add any game.exe to any profile. The “add” stays gray for any game profile.Vorpx still closes after some seconds.Thank you.

Like said above you have to make a copy of existing profiles first. You can only assign the an .exe to the copied profile.

Check the help section I recommended in my last reply. It explains how to create custom profiles.

You may want to check the windows event log to see if there are any entries about vorpxConfig.

It looks like you have a bad Visual C++ lib. You can download an all-in-one package from techpowerup.com (I’ve never used it but it’s supposed to contain all runtimes since 2010).

I installed the all-in-one C++ package, but no luck for me.vorpx still closes Itself.I will reinstall windows later.Thank you very much.

Hmm…I should have told you to uninstall any existing c++ runtime components and reboot before installing that aio.

I had the same problem, but with Nier Automata. I installed several different c++ redists until I found one that fixed the problem. Microsoft really screwed up the side-by-side manifests on the c++ redists and even distributed different versions of the executables all marked with the same version number at one point. The real issue is that your registry for the c++ runtimes has been corrupted.

If you re-install windows again be careful of installing any vc_redist.x86/64.exe that may ship with a game. Installing one one those is probably what caused the issue in the first place.
