    when in the menu the directionnal input on my xbox one controller work but doesnt when i get in a race. Also, to accelerate i have to hold bot LB and RT and no directionnal input brake or anything work in a race.

    You need to map the controller buttons/axes in the game’s input options. It’s a rather old game and does not come with a default gamepad mapping that works with your X-Box 360/One controller out of the box.
