Crash after re-installing NVIDIA Drivers

Hi,

My computer froze a couple of times because of dxxgmms2.sys, so I googled that and reinstalled my Nvidia drivers for the gtx 1080 but now everytime I start my game I see the Steam VR start animation in my headset (Samsung Odyssey HMD) and the grey space before normally the games appears, but then I get redirected to Steam VR lounge and the game fails to start. Tried reinstalling Vorpx (without deleting registy) but that didnt help. also reverted to windows autodownload drivers for the gtx 1080… didnt help. What else could I try ?

P.S: to reinstall the drivers i removed the graphics card in device manager, i figured maybe that messed up the license, so i uninstalled everything and sent a new activation request for the license.
