    Hi,

    Today I’ve launched Desktop Viewer as usual, and VorpX told me that there is an update available for the game profiles.
    When I hit the update button (with active Desktop Viewer), it showed me the window with the progress bar for a couple of seconds that quickly disappeared.

    The next time I launched the Config App I got “Reading profile database exception”.
    After I rebooted VorpX it stopped working as intended, even 3D mode became unavailable.
    I’ve rebooted PC, but it didn’t help me either.

    After some research, turns out that the “Profiles.vpd” was corrupted.
    Luckily, I have a backup, so I restored it.

    I also did some tests:
    – If VorpX Desktop Viewer is active and VorpX prompts you to update the database – the “Profiles.vpd” file will be corrupted every time.
    – If you launch Config App without an active VorpX Desktop Viewer – the update process will be completed without any issues.

    It can be reproduced any number of times.

    I’m reported critical bug May 12, 2026 but there’s still no answer, despite new answers to the other posts here.
