    Hi,

im new here and german so please forgive me my mistakes :)

Whenever I set my Oculus to Extended Mode
NO GAME starts anymore and every game gives me an D3D9 or D3D Error.

Couldnt create D3D Device or something like that.

I googled about 1 to 2 hours yesterday but couldnt find anything.

    Please help!

Are you by any chance using the 0.6 Oculus runtime? If so, please download the 0.5.1 runtime from the Oculus website, which is the one vorpX 0.8.1 is compiled with. 0.6 seems to have some odd issues.

Please also make sure to set all games to 1920×1080 (DK2 native res) before starting them with vorpX.

I had v0.6 and changed to the 0.5.0.1.

Sadly this didnt help it at all.
All my games are set to that resolution and the screen is turned to horizontal.

Still getting the errors as soon as i am in Extended mode.

    WOW something changed!

I does work, but i dont get it to display on my Rift.

Even when i select the rift as my main monitor the game starts on my Benq Monitor.
I even tired selecting the Rift in Vorpx instead of Use system settings but that didnt help it.

Is there a way to force my system to display it on my Rift?

Please take a look at the DK2 Setup Guide in the vorpX help. It explains two possible ways to get the games to the Rift. Make sure to follow all steps mentioned there.

Here’s the short version. Please still read the guides in the help, they all contain important information.

You have two options to use vorpX:

    A. The convenient one (works with most games)

    1. Set the Rift DK2 to “Extend Desktop to HMD”
    2. Use the Rift DK2 as SECONDARY monitor in Windows
    3. Set the Rift DK2 to “Portrait” mode in Windows
(might be “Landscape flipped” in Windows 8)
    4. Set vorpX to “Show on DK2″ display wise in the vorpX config app.

    B. The compatible one

    1. Set the Rift DK2 to “Extend Desktop to HMD”
    2. Use the Rift DK2 as PRIMARY monitor in Windows
    3. Set the Rift DK2 to “Portrait” mode in Windows
(might be “Landscape flipped” in Windows 8)
    4. Set vorpX to “Use system settings” display wise in the vorpX config app.
