Dead Island Definitive edition crashing

Ni matter which runtime I select, openxr, steamvr or oculus…this title crashes to desktop with corps

Any help or info would be greatly appreciated.

Tried on a different PC…worked for a day or so….now crashing like before

Also happens with dead island riptide definitive edition.

I have reset the profile,

I have deleted and reinstalled both games and also removed settings in documents

Nothing has worked.

So bizarre this occurred on two machines

It leads me to believe it’s a vorpx issue, but I don’t think anybody else has reported issues with these games?

Could it have something to do with how windows 10 syncs machine settings?

I mean, Could messing up something on machine a

Moving to machine b and having windows sync up cause it?

Found the strangest fix

If a game controller is connected it runs

So strange….but the controls are messed up when driving the look is inverted.

Besides that it seems to work fine with controller
