    Hello fellow VR users!

Has anyone been able to launch ds9 the fallen successfully?
    Wish you a great day!

Should work with the game’s OpenGL renderer. In the game’s video configuration dialog make sure to check ‘Show non-certified devices’, otherwise you can’t select OpenGL.

Caveat 1: 3D is disabled per default in the profile. To get 3D switch ‘3D-Reconstruction’ to ‘Geometry’ in the vorpX menu.

Caveat 2: for reasons I neither recall nor documented unfortunately I made the game’s profile hidden in the profile database. So there might be some issue with it. A (super-brief) test a few minutes ago looked fine on first sight though.

Hello Ralf! Thank you for taking time!

I changed the game setting to OpenGL – but vorpx is having trouble hooking to the game. I tried to install hook helpers -> the first (9dx) and the last option so far. Alternative hooking doesn’t seem to work either. I understand what the hooking process does, but I would be lying if I wrote that I understand it completely.

Could you tell me on occasion how you manage to hook into the game? thank you for your help anyway!

I didn’t really have to do anything. Works with default hooking for me. Just in case: the profile expects the main .exe to be named DS9.exe.

Thanks for the tips! The .exe file is named correctly in my files. Strange – for me it won’t hook.

I tried to use an unreal (1 or gold) profile as template and change the .exe file to the one in the game directiory (DS9.exe) – but I get the message that DS9.exe has already been assigned to a profile (like you said – it’s available just invisible in the database).

I also have the convergence mod installed – maybe this is somehow interfering, who knows!

If I manage to get it running – I will update, in case somebody else has the same problem! :)
    Thanks for taking time!
