When I play FSX (Flight Simulator X) I have a huge FPS decrease when using the Oculus Rift. It says in the game, “framerate below 60FPS. Consider switching to Z-buffer 3D”. Can you possibly tell me how to change the buffer?

    I don’t get it because I have a high-end computer.

    (If wondering, I have a 3Gb GPU and a AMD 8core CPU)

FSX is a slow game, and rendering everything twice makes it even slower. Even a fast Core i7 runs usually below 60fps in Geometry 3D mode in FSX.

To switch 3D modes, hit [DEL] to open the menu. The menu option is called “3D Reconstruction”. Be aware that the Z-Buffer 3D doesn’t look as natural as the Geometry 3D mode, the price for being twice as fast.

    Hope that helps.
