HP Reverb G2 (v2)

SO I’ve got my hand on the reverb G2 v1 but I returned it because I failed to get it turn on at all.. I already purchased vorpx, I assumed it will work right away lol.. So after some readings, I found that the G2 (v1) requires to connect directly to the GPU, maybe that’s why it won’t turn on on my laptop.. My laptop has 2 tb3 ports but I’m not sure if they’re directly connected to the GPU, most probably not..

so the question is, does the renewed version (v2) still require to connect directly to the GPU?

The differences between V1 and V2 are the cable (USB Problems V1), the Headtracking and VR Gasket + Cover, nothing else !
