Just reinstalled, and cant get Skyrim to start.

Can anyone help please.

It works when VorpX is off. But as soon as I turn it on and launch Skyrim (either from Steam, or NMM) The title music stays for about 2 seconds, and the just stutters one of the notes over and over.

I have tried with Steam VR off. HMD black. And with it on first. Just shows the SteamVR environment.
Any help really appreciated.

Steam VR has to be on and configured to use Direct Mode (which is the default).

Just in case please also check whether “HTC Vive” is selected in the config app. Using a Vive with Oculus being selected in the config app can lead to similar symptoms.
