Whenever I try to start CS GO on my Oculus Quest 2after running vorpx I get this message
“loading vpenvr_api.dll failed this is a sever problem please reinstall vorpx”
CSGO then boots on desktop with the vorpx menu options on the side.
My device selection is set to Steam VR
how do I get this to work?
When I try to run in oculus mode I get
Oculus runtime init failed. vorpX will not work correctly. Try to restart the Oculus Software or your PC. Switching VorpX to steamVR mode may help in some cases. Oculus runtime error: LibOVRRT symbol resolution failure. (-3023)
Sounds as if the Oculus PC sofware is not installed. That’s a requirement for vorpX to work with your Quest. If you already have it installed, please reinstall in case the install is broken somehow.
To install the Oculus software, go to https://www.oculus.com/setup/ and download the Oculus Link software.
I’m getting this on my Rift S too, Oculus software installed, this is the only game I have this issue with, VORPX seems to work fine with all other games via SteamVR or native Oculus SDK
Just got the software and wanted to start CS GO with it, but i get an error window that says “loading spenvr_api.dll failed. This is a severe problem. Please reinstall vorpX.” i already tried reinstalling, didnt work. i also tried other games like pubg, which also didnt work.

Not sure whether that can be fixed. Sounds like they made some changes to the their anticheat system. IIRC there is a ‘-insecure’ command line switch or something similar that disables anticheat. That might help. You won’t be able to join anticheat enabled servers that way though.
BTW: I have merged both threads concerning this issue. Ideally please avoid creating duplicate threads for the same issue. Just makes it harder to follow and reply.
