Multiple programs giving odd errors

With a number of games I’ve tried vorpx tonight with, I keep getting three weird errors. I followed the suggestions in the “Basic Troubleshooting” post, but same errors. For instance, with Batman Arkham City GOTY, it starts fine if vorpx is not running, but if vorpx is, I get three errors:

The program cannot start because MSVCP90.dll is missing from your system
The program cannot start because MSVCR90.dll is missing from your system
Windows cannot access the specified device, path, or file.   You may not have the appropriate permissions to access this item.

Anyone else run into these errors? Like I said, if I quit vorpx they disappear.

hi try to disable all overlays and close all non relevant programs..

Thanks, I did disable the steam overlay (I don’t have any others), but I’ll try the rest of your suggestion.

I found the culprit: Bitdefender Internet Security 2016. I had to completely uninstall it, disabling the features (all of them) did nothing. I think this program can be added to the “almost completely incompatible” list.
