    jedi outcast and jedi academy both use the same graphics engine, id tech 3, but while outcast works in g3d with vorpx, academy does not work (I tried to create a custom profile but there is no effect g3d or z3d).
    what can I do?

    You could try an OpenGL profile like from KOTOR or Neverwinter Nights 1, Quake 3 / 4 ect.
