Can’t get the game to run at this 4×3 resolution. The 2K max in the game is too blurry.
Anyone have any suggestions?
Have you tried fullscreen or windowed? If you do windowed you’d need to set desktop res to 4k as well.
Portal 2 was first vorpx game Ive tried and Im pretty sure I could go 4k and it was running very well too.
When I force the res in the launch options to 3840×2880 it always defaults to windowed, even after changing to full screen in options. There is no listing for 3840×2880.
It doesn’t sound like you have a custom resolution for that setup in nvidia/amd control panels. Some games go to windowed mode when they can’t find a matching fullscreen resolution. The refresh rate also needs to match – probably 60hz for that game.
The source engine in particular is kind of flaky. Unless you’re desktop resolution matches or exceeds the game resolution, It will keep defaulting back to the desktop res. At least that’s what it does with HL2.
