    tried using the weapon hiding, but it breaks after i run the directvr scan

    strange if its just a mod using same exe as portal 2 vanilla, but as a workaround you can just hide weapon completely through console commands, thats what I did last time playing portal 2 vanilla in vorpx since weapon looks wrong being too close.
