Registration from an email different from the Order

I received Vorpx as a gift, so I am attempting to register using my own, different email from the one used to order. As I currently understand it, this is alright but about how much of a delay can this cause?

I had to again install Windows.
I need a new key.
Why is key to the program is working so short.
fter reinstalling the system, I have to ask for a key to my program.
