Settings not being saved

Hi,
I’ve noticed that when I “OK and save”, its really hit or miss if the next time I load up the game the settings will be saved. It usually goes back to default, and I have to reset them every time.
Is this a bug? How can I fix it?

Yes, that is indeed a known bug. Sometimes the settings database gets overwritten with an older state when closing vorpX. Will be fixed in the next update. Until then there is a workaround:

1. Before you close vorpX, open the config app.
2. Go to the “Local Profiles” page.
3. Create a copy of a random profile. Doesn’t have to be the one you changed before.
4. You can delete the (unwanted) copy again afterwards.

That should suffice to update the database on disk to the latest state and settings made before should stick when you close vorpX now.

I was having an issue with profile settings not saving and discovered it was because I had the shortcut to launch vorpX set to “Run as administrator”.
This is not the same as “Run vorpX Control as administrator” under the programs general configuration page.
