I could launch it a few days ago, but now it says “Whoa! Cyberpunk 2077 has flatlined” before it even launches. The cyberpunk launcher opens and I press the play button. The only thing that happens is that steamVR starts up and then I get the crash message and SteamVR stays up after cyberpunk crashes.

I just updated to the 1.5 patch, so I was wondering if anyone else was having this issue with the new patch?

    I’m running it through steamvr with a pimax 8kx @ 60hz (75hz doesn’t work either)
RTX 3080 Laptop GPU, windows 11, 32 gigs ram

I reinstalled with the latest version of the standalone client. No mods and Intel CPU is disabled in the bios.

After the update 1.5 I had another 10GB update today. Now, unfortunately, you see everything again only without 3D and head tracking. Before that everything was running fine. However, I do not have crashes. But I think that Ralf also puts an update online again. Annoying because he has just brought it back to run and then CDR brings directly afterwards again an update out.

A new version with support for today’s Cyberpunk hotfix is now available:

Too bad, unfortunately, that did not solve it. The download leads to a version that was edited yesterday, is that correct?

The file on the server is the correct one, but if you just downloaded the file very recently, your bowser, internet provider or whoever may still have cached the older one.

Try with a different browser if possible or with your phone via a mobile connection.

Alternatively just installing the latest version of the CET modding framework should also do the trick this time. That’s what today’s Cyberpunk patch actually broke, not the mod itself.

Unfortunately mine has shown no improvement. :-(

Am I the only one not able to get further than the launcher?

Sounds an awful lot like some hooking conflict. Either with a Reshade mod in case you have one installed. Check for any d3d11.dll, d3d12.dll, dxgi.dll in the [CP2077]\bin\x64 folder. Remove any dll called that way.

If that is not the problem, there might be a tool running that also hooks into games. Basically anything that can show an overlay in games might cause a conflict.

Since nothing I tried worked, I uninstalled the standalone client, uninstalled Cyberpunk, deleted the directory completely, reinstalled Cyberpunk, and then reinstalled the standalone client. It still does the same thing. I will try to run in with Oculus home and my Quest2 tomorrow and see if that works. I have given up hope of getting it to work with my Pimax.

You mentioned that overlays can effect it. Does that include Pitool? It used to work with it, but now it doesn’t. Unfortunately Pitool is required for the pimax to work, so I don’t know what else I can do.

PiTool should be no problem. Pimax headsets do work normally, so it has to be something else.

Potentially interfering tools include pretty much everytjing that can display an overlay in games.

If you have other mods installed, it may also be worth a try to remove them.

Game updates usually break the Cyber Engine Tweaks modding framework that the mod is based on.

If the latest mod version doesn’t already inlude the latest CET, you can install it manually:
