I’m trying to play Dying Light in my steam library on the VorpX Desktop mode. Every time I start the steam game though, Dying Light starts in steams VR theater mode, or at least starts steam VR on Windows 10.

    I have tried:
    1) (uncheck) Use Desktop Game theater while SteamVR is active – found under the general tab when you right click your game in the steam library and go to properties.

    2) In vorpX, I clicked pause watcher before starting my game.

Does anyone have a suggestion for this, thanks!

If you have Steam installed under ‘C:\Program Files’ try to run vorpX as admin. vorpX normally disables the Steam desktop theater bei renaming it’s .exe while it is running. That might fail without admin rights if Steam is installed in ‘C:\Program Files’.

Disabling it in Steam should work too normally though.

Do not pause the vorpX watcher unless you want to disable vorpX. It is required for vorpX to hook into games.

Ah, that worked. I think I was just confused because when I hit delete I was able to change views in VorpX, I didn’t realize VorpX has a theater mode as well as desktop view and full vr.
