    Hi,
When I run vorpxcontrol I get a dialogue box telling me that it is already running. I click on OK and vorpx closes. No V in the task bar and nothing showing in Task Manager.

Is this the anti-virus issue or something different? I’ve disabled AVG and specifically allowed the vorpxcontrol.exe but that didn’t help.
    Any suggestions?
    Thanks in advance

Try to uninstall your AV software for testing purposes. Some more invasive ones make it fairly difficult for their users to fully disable them unless they are removed.

BTW: There is no real need for third party AV on Windows 10. It comes with Windows Defender, which kicks in automatically when you remove third party AV. Windows Defender is more than good enough for several years now.

    Hi Ralf,
I uninstalled AVG and rebooted. No change. I get a dialogue box with “Vorpx Control is already running”

The Vorpx config icon in in the tray and I can change the configuration.

That sounds as if everything is alright. vorpX should be ready to hook into games you launch unless there is some conflict that prevents it from doing so.

To double check open your task manager and go to the ‘Details’ tab, there should be two processes: ‘vorpControl.exe’ and ‘vorpControl64.dat’. If both are running, all should be well.

The ‘V’ icon might just be hidden, you can click the small up arrow near the clock to see hidden tray icons. If you want, you can make the icon visible permanently by dragging it from the hidden icons list to the taskbar. Unfortunately there is no way to do this automatically, Microsoft insists that it’s obvious enough to users…

<Thumbs up> A quick test and it looks like I’ve moved onto figuring out individual games.
    Thanks for your help.
