I decided to boot up cyberpunk (pancake) today to check out the 1.5 updates and realized I still had the vorpx standalone mod installed (It started in VR mode). So I quit and found the uninstall file, and removed it. Cyberpunk would not start now (nothing happens after pressing the “play” button). So next I tried to verify the files in steam, which said one file needed to be fixed and it seemed to have done so. So I tried again after a reboot. Same problem. Ok, this sucks but I went ahead and entirely removed the install, rebooted and reinstalled from scratch waiting for several hours. Went to start cyberpunk again and… same problem.

Short version: After removing the standalone vorpx mode and reinstalling from scratch, cyberpunk no longer starts. Hoping someone has experienced this and knows a solution.

Remove the version.dll from [CP2077]\bin\x64. It belongs to the Cyber Engine Tweaks modding framework that the mod uses.

Since a lot of other mods also use this framework the uninstaller doesn’t remove it to not break other mods. Shouldn’t crash nomally though unless you have removed other parts of the framework manually.
