anyone tried virtual desktop + vorpx +oculus go

virtual desktop + vorpx +oculus go
wondering if anyone tried it yet and if its worth even trying
most of the vr I am able to do is seated so I would be fine with just the 3dof, just ordered one oculus go and one oculus quest to see the difference before I sell the one I don’t like. I hear that the quest is heavier

I’m not sure wheter VD will work with a Go, but you should be able to use a Go with ALVR (https://github.com/polygraphene/ALVR/releases). I haven’t tried that for some time, but it used to work in the past.

Virtual Desktop works like a charm with Oculus Quest, a distant relative of the Go. Better than RiftCat. I couldn’t get ALVR to work on Quest.

ALVR has two branches. The original branch by polygraphene supported Go but hasn’t been updated in June 2019. The second branch by JackD only works with Quest similar to Virtual Desktop. VorpX works with both apps for the Quest when using SteamVR mode.
