I installed and registered fine. Problem is that McAfee thinks I now have a virus attached to vorpConfig.exe and wants to remove it. When I try to start vorpConfig or vorpXdesktop, it just flashes and dies.

I rebooted and tried vorpDesktop again. An error message came up:

Injection failed: Unable to hook: vorpDesktop.exe
Should vorpX try to close the program if it is still running?

I selected “No”. Nothing is happening.

Try to exclude the vorpX program folder (usually C:\Program Files (x86)\Animation Labs\vorpX) from your AV scanner.

BTW: If you are using Windows 10, I would recommend to switch to Windows Defender. Since about at least two years or so Windows Defender provides excellent protection on par with third party AV programs while at the same being less invasive.

You can switch to Windows Defender on Windows 10 by uninstalling your third party AV program. It kicks in automatically without third party AV installed.
