    Hi,
I don’t suppose anyone has tried VorpX with CAD applications?

I gave Autodesk Inventor a quick try, but VorpX does not hook into it, even though it isn’t in the excluded list.

I am just wondering why it wouldn’t be detected by VorpX?

    Cheers

Did you expect it to hook just by itself like it does on *random* applications? I dont really know how vorpx decides to hook to things, but for one you can try to copy a profile and add inventor executable to it to see if it hooks and can try to add hook helper DLLs if it fails after a minute or two.

Fairly unlikely that would work in any usable manner. Even in the unlikely case that vorpX could correctly hook into the 3D viewport(s), the GUI would be missing. UI compononents in the majority of 3D applications aren’t drawn with D3D/OpenGL.

Your best bet is using the desktop viewer, but that’s probably not what you had in mind as it would just be the CAD application in 2D on a huge screen.
